Moderated by Solkem N’Gangbet, Spit My Story artist talk is an opportunity to engage with Taïgue Ahmed about his creative process both as dancer/choreographer and social activist.The residency, presented by the Blaffer Art Museum and curated by Solkem N’Gangbet, includes school outreach events and master classes with University of Houston students and faculty as well as with local dance companies. Taïgue Ahmed: Spit My Story is supported through the Innovation Grants program of the Cynthia Woods Mitchell Center for the Arts, which is funded in part by the Houston Endowment, Inc. Additional support is provided by the Center for Public History and the Department of Comparative Cultural Studies at the University of Houstonand Project Row Houses.
