MANN ON THE STREET: Videos by Andy Mann

September 06 - September 06,2014

Andy Mann (1947-2001) was a seminal video artist in the 1970s and 80s, known in particular for his wonderful street tapes shot in the then-rough streets of SoHo and on the New York subway. He was associated with several historic video collectives such as Global Village, Raindance, Perception, Videofreex, and TVTV (Top Value Television), as well as a contributor to the video art magazine Radical Software, founded in 1970. He lived in Houston from the 1980s until his death in 2001. We are big fans of his work and are thrilled to see this show, curated by Jarrett Hayman, being presented in Austin. DON'T MISS THIS.
