Regina N. Bradley will explore how the work of Atlanta hip hop duo OutKast grounds what she theorizes as the hip hop South and how they provide a framework for understanding Southern black identity in the post-Civil Rights South. After Dr. Bradley’s talk, she will join a 2pm panel discussion in conjunction with Robert Hodge’s CAMH exhibition Destroy and Rebuild. Other panelists include DJ Cipher, Maco L. Faniel, Josie Pickens, and Jawwaad Taylor.
