Provost Nowell Donovan announced friday that Dr. Anne Helmreich will be the new Dean of Fine Arts at TCU in Fort Worth. Helmreich taught art and art history at TCU from 1996-2003, but has been Senior Program Officer at the Getty Foundation in Los Angeles for the past four years.
Helmreich replaces Scott Sullivan, Dean of TCU’s College of Fine Arts since 2000 as the college is set to begin “exploding nationally in terms of visibility,” in the words of Dr. Harry Parker, chair of the TCU theatre department and a member of the dean search committee.
