"Through a wide variety of craft media such as basketry, botanical dyes, ceramics, and installation art, Tierra Firme (Analise Minjarez & Sarita Westrup) creates a variety of portraits about a personal subject, their home on the TXMX borderlands. Investigating ideas of memory, construction of identity, land, and sky, Tierra Firme reinterprets the narrative of the borderlands through an intimate lens.
