Damon Thomas & Ellen Ray: Ancestors

September 02 - September 29,2019

A two person exhibition featuring work by Damon Thomas and Ellen Ray. "Damon Thomas works in clay, found objects and mixed media to create figurative art that explores the emotional and psychological range of the human condition. In this new body of work, Thomas’ sculptures explore journey and transformation through time and space. Ellen Ray’s new contemplative body of work explores ancestral memory. Including the ways we connect to each other, the earth and the spiritual realm. Houses, trees, roots, and organic and cellular structures appear in different environments, sometimes whole, often fragmented or partially obscured."
