Join us for a talk with Fall 2020 residency Guest Curator Natalie Bell. Visiting Texas for studio visits to select the Fall 2020 Texas-based resident artist, Bell will stop in San Antonio for a talk about her curatorial practice. ABOUT THE SPEAKER Natalie Bell is Associate Curator at the New Museum, New York, where she has curated and co-curated solo exhibitions by Jonathas de Andrade (2017), Anna Boghiguian (2018), Elaine Cameron-Weir (2017), Mariana Castillo-Deball (2019), Aslı Çavuşoğlu (2018), Dan Herschlein (2018), Marguerite Humeau (2018), Kahlil Joseph (2017), Hiwa K (2018), Albert Oehlen (2015), Naufus Ramírez-Figueroa (2018), Barbara Rossi (2015), Anri Sala (2016), Andra Ursuta (2016), Rodrigo Valenzuela (2019), and Lynette Yiadom-Boakye (2017). She has also co-curated several major group exhibitions at the New Museum, including Trigger: Gender as a Tool and a Weapon(2017); The Keeper(2016), and Here and Elsewhere(2014). For the New Museum, she has also co-curated Strange Days: Memories of the Future(2018) at the Store X, London; The Same River Twice: Contemporary Art in Athens(2019) at the Benaki Museum, Athens; and The Warmth of Other Suns(2019) at the Phillips Collection, Washington, DC. Prior to her work at the New Museum, Bell was assistant curator for The Encyclopedic Palace, the International Exhibition of the 55th Venice Biennale (2013).
