A Conversation Between Painters Leila McConnell and Ron Hartgrove

January 09 - January 30,2020

"Known for her "sky paintings", Leila McConnell is considered to be one of Houston's founding modernists. Abstract artist Ron Hartgrove's work has long drawn inspiration from the writings of Carl Jung. This show presents a visual conversation between McConnell and Hartgrove. Each painting exists in response to one by the other artist, weaving a dialogue punctuated by bold, explosive color."
