From the Menil: "Artist Jamal Cyrus joins Michelle White, the Menil’s Senior Curator, for a conversation about his recent work, including Misconstrued Rap Lyric #1, 2019, and how it addresses urgent questions about justice, history and memory. One of the Menil’s most recent acquisitions, this sculpture is currently installed in the museum’s foyer, where it is visible from outside of the front entrance. A link to the livestream will be posted here 15 minutes before the program begins. A short Q&A will follow the conversation.
