LA ROMITA REVISITED

A group Exhibition by Artist Residents from Flatbed’s Italian Program. From Flatbed Press: "A group exhibition by the participants of the 2019 Italian Il Sole Residency at La Romita, Umbria. Artists included in the exhibition are in alpha order: Jo Harvey Allen, Katherine Brimberry, Belinda Casey, Monica Cimino, Suzi Davidoff, Orna Feinstein, Mary Fischer, Elaine Johnson, Charmaine Locke, Erica Stephenson, Sam Schwartz, and Susan Schwartz, Flatbed’s Italian Residency is offered to artists every other year and is held at La Romita, a small art school and residence located in Terni, Umbria, Italy. Flatbed’s program centers on offering printmaking processes that are environmentally safe to artists who incorporate printmaking into their artistic practice. Participants are encouraged to incorporate the rich visual experiences of touring the nearby Umbrian towns, churches and countryside into their work. The 2019 residency was led by Suzi Davidoff and Katherine Brimberry. This past 10 day residency was titled Il Sole because the printmaking process used for this residency was Solarplate etching. Showing in La Romita Revisited is work by the residents and the facilitators."
