An online performance lecture from Christian Cruz. From the artist: "Anger as Currency is a hybrid participatory performance lecture and writing workshop with performance artist Christian Cruz that incorporates lip-syncing and channeling as a medium to facilitate trust and healing. Join us in this performance to share your current anger or frustrations and exchange those sentiments for a bid in an auction! What is the currency and value of your anger or frustration? How much does a zine, painting, or drawing cost in an anger-based value system? What is negotiated for stories and feelings of sentiments? How are movements and technologies channeling these exchanges? After the performance, a Q&A will be conducted and time will be provided to free-write 90-word feedback, commentary, or criticism about the performance. We will discuss and peer-review the writings as well. Writing pieces will be collected as documentation and part of the performance. Writing as performance is inspired by 60 WRD/MIN. This program is intended to bridge performance practices with individuals wanting to exercise their art writing skills in a peer-review format. Writing tools and guidance materials are available to download on our website. This is a free online program to attend.
