Explore the Online Gallery Here: https://www.artsy.net/fort-worth-contemporary-arts For CREATE + PROTECT: Fashioning Safety in Times of Pandemic, we were looking for original facemasks that push the physical ideas of a mask and conceptually reimagine our lives and interactions. We have all seen the typical facemask, but how can we reinterpret this piece of cloth to make a bold statement? How can we use these masks to express ourselves when we have lost facial expressions as a mode of communication? How will this new normal affect us as individuals, and our community as a whole? How will this physical object change culture and fashion? For CREATE + PROTECT we were interested in showcasing creative ideas. We wanted to see the creative interpretations of our TCU community.
