ENRIQUE JEZIK: LINES OF DIVISION

January 27 - March 26,2011

In Lines of Division multi-media artist Enrique Jezik addresses five political borders of conflict: Mexico/USA, Argentina/Paraguay/Brazil, Israel/Palestine, North/South Korea, Afghanistan/Pakistan. Jezik will “draw” these borders with a chainsaw on the evening of the opening reception. Video footage referencing surveillance at each of these borders will be part of the sculpted plywood remnants of this performance. Lines of Division will also be aligned with Jezik’s previous piece about airports that accommodate NATO activity, Estreno de la Otan.
