Emily Mitchell: Starving Art

Starving Art is a series of portrait drawings made by Emily Mitchell portraying people sinking their teeth into food or drink. The portraits are mixed media works on paper in which ink, charcoal, and pastel are used to create layers of lines, splashes, and shades. Her main body of work is comprised of large mixed media works on paper of models brushing their teeth.
