Hooks-Epstein Galleries presents two solo exhibitions featuring James Michael Starr and Stephanie Trenchard. In Stranger in a Strange Land, James Michael Starr sculptural works are assembled from broken pieces. Stephanie Trenchard refers to old photos and sketches found in biographies, newspapers or artists’ monographs for reference and inspiration in her exhibition, Ensemble 2010. Trenchard’s narratives reflect on motherhood, mental well-being and sexuality.
