Artist Talk: Julie Mehretu

Former Core Fellow at the Glassell School of Art and recipient of the John D. and Catherine T. MacArthur Foundation Fellowship, Julie Mehretu presents an artist talk for the 13th Annual African American Art Advisory Association Public Lecture at The Museum of Fine Arts, Houston. Mehretu, known for her large paintings joining figuration and abstraction, maps and environments discusses her work, including a new suite of paintings in the exhibition Grey Area, now traveling from Berlin to the Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum to open in May!
