March 10 - March 10,2022
For more information about this performance event, go here. From the Blaffer Art Music: "In this hybrid performance work, Maya Stovall, Cynthia Woods Mitchell Center for the Arts Artist-In-Residence, brings together a cross-disciplinary group of UH students and community members with dancers, scholars, activists and artists from near and far to cycle through a variety of actions as they simultaneously move through public and private space. In the process, “hyperkinetic” choreographic movements and speech are interspersed with long meditations that can involve walking, reading, writing, and thinking. The group’s collective action is designed to be subtle but resonant, reflexively asking what constitutes the performance of self in a public arena. Theorem, no. 2, is part of the artist's exhibition Maya Stovall: Razón / Reason, on view at Blaffer Art Museum through March 13. This event is free and open to the public."
