"Circa is a project that aims to keep memories alive through collage. City life is a theme that has marked me and still intrigues me. A photo, a scene, is an endless number of possibilities, a continuous of stories, which can be reassembled, re-narrated, and consequently can remain current. Circa is a word that comes up recurrently in any archival search, demonstrating that our findings, although imprecise but true, are only the surface of a reality, a reality so complex that we can generally only reach it superficially through conjecture. In this project/experiment the old scenarios are mutilated, distorted, and intervened to open a dialectic between the figurative and the abstract, the narrative and the formal."
