"More than the one that got away, Fish Stories, underlines the presence of gill-slitted life forms in our myths, our memories, our cultures, and our imaginations. Through photography, video, painting, installation, and sculpture, artists recount and recreate both personal and universal narratives centered around these venerable aquatics, taking the viewer on a fishing expedition unlike any other, tethering us together as a multi-storied humanity.
