Mihee Nahm: Healing

From LHUCA: "This month at LHUCA Mihee Nahm’s exhibit titled Healing opens up for July and August. After moving back to America from her home country of South Korea Nahm wanted the work to reflect her new life in America. She began to pick up leaves she found on her daily walks and those became the subject of her paintings. During this time in her life her work slowly transitioned to landscape paintings which then influenced her current work of painting nightscapes. Mihee states “Nature has a way of allowing me to drift into my inner space. I hope viewers can connect to the bittersweet feelings of melancholy and nostalgia in these paintings.”"
