Ancestors of the Lake: Art from Lake Sentani and Humboldt Bay, New Guinea brings together this body of work together for the first time in over fifty years. The exhibition features over fifty works and includes vintage photographs of the works in their original environments. Many of the works on view were acquired by Swiss explorer, ethnologist, photographer, and collector Paul Wirz and French adventurer, art dealer, photographer, and author Jacques Viot.
