Project Rowhouses: Round 36

March 31 - June 24,2012

Seven new art projects in the historic shotgun houses on Holman St., featuring artists Manuel Acevedo, Monie Henderson and Marc Newsome of Our Image Film and Arts, Kenyatta A.C. Hinkle, John Pluecker, Phillip Pyle II, Beth Secor, and Irvin Tepper.

Town Hall Meeting: Reclaiming Our Image. Our Image founders Monie Henderson and Marc Newsome will lead a town hall meeting in which they invite audience discussion about the best methods for working with the media to ensure non-stereotypical, honest, cutting-edge, thought-provoking depictions of Black and other ethnic communities

Closing: June 23, 2012 | 6-10 pm
Community Potluck and The Moving Word/La Palabra Móvil: an explosion of word and poetry, music, and food to celebrate the Closing of Round 36 at Project Row Houses. Featuring the food of Kentifrica, with readings and performances by more than 20 writers! Community Potluck at 6pm, - please bring a dish to share!
