Shades of Love: Romance in Contemporary African Cinema

A panel discussion preceding weekend film series, presented in conjunction with the new exhibition "The Progress of Love" Kristina Van Dyke, curator of the exhibition and Mahen Bonetti, film-series curator, discuss experience of love in Africa. Joining Van Dyke and Bonetti in exploring the current state of contemporary art and film from Africa is the Nigerian filmmaker Andrew Dosunmu, whose 2010 feature Restless City, opens the film series the following night at the Museum of Fine Arts, Houston.
