Reconstructing the Renaissance

In a real coup, the Kimbell is hosting this focus exhibition which reunites the Museum’s own Fra Angelico painting with the ensemble to which it originally belonged. This fall, the Kimbell published Laurence Kanter’s book Reconstructing the Renaissance: Saint James Freeing Hermogenes by Fra Angelico. Kanter originally brought the five altarpiece panels together for a Fra Angelico exhibition at the MET in 2005. This is your chance to see the complete artwork at the Kimbell!!
