"Coming from a background of teachers, preachers, and farmers, [Whitfill] has been influenced by both backyard orators and shade-tree mechanics. A West Texas native from Silverton coming to The Hub and taking up the intellectual life, meaning simply that he went to school for around 25 years, Whitfill has a BS in Biology and Chemistry, Firefighter and EMT Certifications, and a Masters of Fine Art in Sculpture and Printmaking."
