Andy Warhol: The Last Decade

April 10 - May 16,2010

Get your Pop-Art on with the first U.S. museum survey exhibition to explore works by Warhol that were created during the final eight years of his life. 55 works from private collections and institutions such as The Museum of Modern Art, the Guggenheim, and Baltimore Museum of Art, are included in Andy Warhol: The Last Decade. The exhibition is divided into sections based on series such as abstract works, collaborations (featuring Jean-Michel Basquiat), works surrounding death and religion, as well as self-portraits and camouflage patterns. Don't miss Sundays with Andy featuring artist led tours by the likes of Noah Simblist and Darryl Lauster at 1 pm every Sunday for the duration of the exhibition. Public lectures led by Dr. Mark Thistlethwaite, the Kay and Velma Kimbell Chair of Art History at Texas Christian University will continue throughout the exhibition.
