Alice Leora Briggs: Dreamland- The Way Out of Juarez

The El Paso Museum of Art presents Lubbock artist Alice Leora Briggs in Dreamland: The Way Out of Juarez. Twenty works are exhibited by Briggs in her Dreamland series. Using a historic technique called graffito, the artist explores Ciudad Juárez from 2007-2009. Briggs addresses issues such as immigration, illegal trafficking of drugs, and violence. Briggs was recently an Artist in Residence at the Border Art Residency in La Union, New Mexico.
