Perspectives 172: Kirsten Pieroth

October 01 - January 02,2011

Berlin-based artist Kirsten Pieroth's project at the Contemporary Arts Museum investigates radio and telephone technology and the work of pioneering radio scientist Guglielmo Marconi (1874-1937). In Perspectives 172, Pieroth exhibits conceptual sculptures and installation that incorporate materials and histories of everyday objects. Filled with low-key humor, the exhibition restages the world as a mutable funhouse. Perspectives 172 is curated by Toby Kamps and is the artist's first solo museum exhibition.
