The Mourners: Medieval Tomb Sculptures from the Court of Burgundy features forty sculptures from the tomb of John the Fearless (1371–1419), the second duke of Burgundy. This monument is one of the centerpieces of the collection of the Musée des Beaux-Arts de Dijon and is among the most important examples of Burgundian art. This traveling exhibition is curated by Sophie Jugie, Director, Musée des Beaux-Arts de Dijon, with Heather MacDonald, The Lillian and James H. Clark Associate Curator of European Art at the Dallas Museum of Art.
