Salvator Rosa: Bandits, Wilderness, and Magic marks the first major U.S. exhibition devoted to the work of Salvator Rosa (1615–1673). Organized by the Dulwich Picture Gallery, London, and the Kimbell Art Museum, the exhibition features 36 paintings created by Rosa in Italy during the 17th-century. His landscapes, portraits, scenes of witchcraft and magic, altarpieces, and subjects are derived from classical literature.
