Dallas' newest cultural space, The Oak Cliff Cultural Center, presents XXI: Conflicts in a New Century. Curated by Charles Dee Mitchell and Cynthia Mulcahy, examines photographic representations of conflicts in the first decade of the 21st century including wars in Iraq, Afghanistan and the Ivory Coast. Artists in the exhibition include Stephanie Sinclair, James Nachtwey, Lisa Barnard, Akintunde Akinleye, and Fatagoma Silue. Also, don't miss a May screening of the Afghanistan war documentary Restrepo at the Texas Theatre next door to the Oak Cliff Cultural Center.
