Sign Painters: film screening

Sign Painters is the first anecdotal history of the hand-lettering and -painting of billboards, storefronts, and promotional signs. The documentary tells the narrative of a graphic design renaissance through the individual stories of more than two dozen sign painters working today in cities throughout the United States, including in Austin. Documentary and book creators Faythe Levine and Sam Macon, as well as local sign painters, will be present for a discussion after this Austin premiere.
