September 08 - December 17,2016
A festival organized and curated by Dwayne Carter and Randall Garrett. This year's festival is "a group endeavor, with an updated theme designed to coincide with the 2016 Election, pitting ideas of Utopia and Paradise against one another in several exhibitions. Local artists explore the questions: “What is Paradise?” and “What is Utopia?” These questions are answered using a variety of media and styles with differing and sometimes even clashing conclusions, the body politic torn between personal and social desires—are there any winners? Are there losers?" For more info go here. Check out our event listings to see the festival's participating art exhibitions at Mighty Fine Arts, Ro2, CentralTrak, and El Centro College.
