Sergio Prego: Rose-colored Drift/To the Students

October 27 - January 27,2018

"New York-based artist Sergio Prego creates unfamiliar perceptual and spatial situations in order to examine contemporary realms of experience.  His sculptural devices specifically created for the galleries, including inflatable structures, transform the pre-existing spatial and discursive context of the art institution so as to shape experiences beyond our conventional matrix of attitudes, habits and beliefs."

Opening: October 27, 2017 | 6-9 pm

Conversation: October 28, 2017 | 11-12 pm
Sergio Prego will be in conversation Javier Sánchez Martínez, and Natilee Harren, assistant professor of contemporary art history and critical studies at UH, in Room 110 at the School of Art.

Artist talk: November 15, 2017 | 6-8 pm
Sergio Prego will discuss his recent most projects in Spain and the U.S.
