Héctor Zamora: O Abuso da História (The Abuse of History)

Héctor Zamora's video work O Abuso da História (The Abuse of History) depicts the tossing of potted plants through windows into the courtyard of São Paulo’s colonial Hospital Matarazzo, an old asylum slated for demolition. In the piece, the destruction of the plants represents the ruin of the hospital and ideas of liberty.
