A solo exhibition featuring new paintings and a major painting installation by Hidenori Ishii. "Combining both mechanical and gestural methods in his process, the artist reproduces the elements of control and circumstance that define an environment. The opposing organic versus artificial is represented in images of the botanical and the manufactured. Layers depict evidence of the past while hinting at what is to unfold. Reflection obscures and confronts."
