"The Senorita Cinema festival will take place at various Houston locations from November 1st to November 3rd. Fanny Veliz Grande’s Feature Length Documentary Our Quinceañera opens the Festival at Rice Cinema. Set in Texas this film centers around a community coming together to make the dreams of it’s young Latinas come true. The director and some of the Documentary’s subjects will be in attendance. Film Screening starts 7Pm Sharp with Q and A after. Later Friday Evening Senorita Cinema in partnership with Houston Fringe Festival presents LOCAS a late night variety program hosted by La Llorona Featuring theater, spoken word, film and a live video n vinyl set by special guest DADA WESTERN of Chulita’s Vinyl Club Austin Chapter. 10:30Pm-MIDNIGHT MATCH2 Houston. Saturday Night it’s The Popular Super Shorts! at The Aurora Picture Show. Short films from here, there and everywhere with filmmakers in attendance and Tacos by Taco Lady, 7pm-9pm Sunday closing the festival it’s our La Concha Community Screening at our fabulous festival partner 14 Pews. From Argentina it’s Una Banda de Chicas (A Girl’s Band) a documentary about the South American Riot Grrl movement. 10% of ticket sales will go to support Girl’s Rock Camp Houston.
