Free Diamonds developed and choreographed by Donna Crump

January 23 - January 23,2020

"Free Diamonds is a newly developed series of choreographic vignettes. This contemporary new work examines the achievements of many unsung black heroes throughout history, and explores what it means to be fully immersed in all things creative and free as well as things that create restraint. Free Diamonds was inspired by—and will be performed near—Garrett Bradley’s film, America (2019), which highlights the free and celebratory times in black culture. The movement will be performed by Donna Crump and the pre-professional division dance students of the Coomer Conservatory."
