Window Dressing V, Stephen Hal Fishman

February 17 - February 24,2020

This closed system is brought about by persistent rumination, which imprisons the multiple selves, and binds them with disquiet. Artist Bio: Stephen Hal Fishman is an Austin-based video artist creating experimental animated films, software-based art, print media, sculpture, installations and live visual accompaniment for music and dance. His work focuses on fantasy world building with a preservationist slant, modern myth-making and altered states. Stephen was born in New York City, raised in Central California and received a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Southern California Cinema-Television program in 1995. He maintains two distinct and separate practices: that of the commercial designer and animator, and that of experimental multi-disciplinary artist. Window Dressing is a project space located in the front window of ICOSA Gallery at the Canopy Arts Complex. Window Dressing highlights the work of emerging, local, and underrepresented artists with short-run shows on view while the main gallery is closed for installation.
