March 07 - March 07,2020
The largest event of its kind in the Southwest is back again for the 24th consecutive year at McNay Art Museum. The highly-anticipated McNay Print Fair takes place March 7 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and March 8 from Noon to 5 p.m. Entry is included with Museum admission.
“This is a great event for novice and seasoned collectors alike because guests get one-on-one access to expert dealers who can help them discover a newfound treasure,” said Lyle W. Williams, Curator of Prints and Drawings. “From old master prints to contemporary drawings and photography, there is something for every taste and budget.”
Thousands of prints, drawings, watercolors, and photographs will be available to view and purchase from the following dealers:
“We have participated in the Print Fair since the beginning, and we really love how visitors get to discover everything from an 18th century etched map to color woodcuts created a month ago, all in a relaxed and approachable atmosphere,” said Bernard Derroitte of Armstrong Fine Art. “Even if you don’t end up purchasing a work of art, you still see wonderful prints of all kinds from around the world.”
“The aspect that separates the McNay Print Fair from other events like it is that Lyle W. Williams is on-site and interacting with guests the entire time,” said Susan Teller of Susan Teller Gallery. “He is in the room to answer questions and discuss anything ranging from the general aspects of works on paper to the finely honed details that only decades of Print Room experience can provide.”
