March 27 - April 25,2020
As theorized by Homi Bhabha, photographs can create a bridge between the subject of a photograph and the viewer through what he calls “blind spots.” The photographers in this exhibition utilize these blind spots to explore ideas of identity in marginalized individuals and communities and negotiate their relationship with said community, either as an insider or an interpreter. The exhibition runs from March 27- April 25, with a reception on Wednesday, April 15, 6:00 - 7:15 p.m.. There will also be a lecture with Honored Photographer, Gay Block, April 15, 7:30 p.m., in the Jonsson Performance Hall
