Online Artist Conversation: Hiromi Stringer

Join us for a live conversation between local artist, Hiromi Stringer, and curator Dr. Yinshi Lerman-Tan! Stringer’s works explore topics from time travel and cross-cultural communication to the dreams of your pet and Miss Manners etiquette books. She works in several mediums ranging from immersive conceptual works to graphite drawings. Stringer has exhibited at Artpace, Blue Star Contemporary, the McNay Art Museum, the Southwest School of Art, and grayduck Gallery, among others. With an MFA from UTSA, Stringer currently lives and works in San Antonio. Lerman-Tan is the Trinity-SAMA postdoctoral fellow, a specialist in American art, and holds a PhD from Stanford. This conversation is part of a series of programs to celebrate Asian Pacific American Heritage Month, and highlight the work of Asian American artists.
