"Jonathan Hopson is proud to announce that we have banded together with several other galleries across the south to instigate not cancelled Southern US. not cancelled is a digital platform for creating an online art week, created by treat agency, a digital design firm in Vienna. not cancelled began as Vienna's first digital art week and has expanded quickly with successive weeks for Berlin, Paris, Warsaw, and on now is Chicago and the Netherlands. “It (wa)s our way to try to help the community when everything had to shut down, which makes the situation specifically worse for those smaller galleries who can’t invest a lot of money in online programs or viewing rooms,” says Istvan Szilagyi, who organized the event through his firm, treat agency. When Jonathan Hopson heard about the not cancelled platform we reached out to our friends at Good Weather Gallery in North Little Rock to organize a group of our peers - galleries including Inman Gallery, Houston; 12.26, Dallas; TOPS, Memphis; Tif Sigfrids, Athens; and Coco Hunday, Tampa. As a participating gallery in not cancelled Southern US, we will present 9 paintings never previously shown from Bradley Kerl over the week long event. not cancelled Southern US goes live at 10am on Saturday, May 23 and runs through Saturday, May 30, 2020."
