Individual Minds of Artistic Staff

May 08 - December 31,2020

When you walk into a museum’s art gallery you may either feel intimidated or entranced by the beautiful works of art hanging on the walls. Regardless, almost everyone imagines the artists as remote and far removed from the museum experience. These gifted individuals share their incredible talent and perspectives with us through their art. Most museum visitors never meet a living artist yet little do we know that artists are all around us and in museums, many are walking right beside you! Giving you a tour, explaining a program, guiding you to the restroom or measuring a wall in preparation for the next exhibition. And why wouldn’t it be like that? After all, what better place for an artist to be inspired by other artists and employ their creativity; what a better place to listen to unique ideas and philosophies; what better place than a museum? A museum of art & science! The International Museum of Art & Science is proud of its staff who capably navigate the intersection of art and science every day and the inspiration it brings them. In honor of the artists among us, we are presenting this online exhibition featuring a collection of works created by our very own IMAS staff artists. We hope that you enjoy this exhibition and find it a delightful surprise to learn about the breadth of creativity from these exceptional artists and museum staff members. The exhibition can be seen here.
