"Archway Gallery, Texas’ oldest artist owned gallery, is presenting a virtual show entitled #BlackLivesMatter - Time for Change! This show features works from several of the gallery’s artists and can be viewed online from July 1 – July 31 at https://www.archwaygallery.com/blacklivesmattermdashtime-for-change.html
Organizing artist Tracey Meyer said “like everyone, we have been horrified by the continuing police violence against Black people in recent times and are excited to witness a societal shift in people's attitude to these acts of aggression. This show is in response to the unnecessary deaths which have occurred during police custody, the calls for justice, and the ground swell of public opinion against racism in the United States and around the world. We rejoice in this new appetite for change,” Meyer added.
Archway artists will donate 50% of any proceeds from this show to the Houston based organization, Community Artists’ Collective, which seeks to provide the educational and cultural link among African American artists and all communities to inspire unlimited creativity."
