From Anya Tish Gallery: "Grab a slice of American life in this new virtual exhibition: In Praise of American Cheese!  Our nation’s birthday, the election year, and current events provide the impetus to present works of art that reflect the charm, nostalgia, and humor, as well as imperfections of America’s past and present-day culture. This phenomenon, “Americana”, is explored visually by depicting objects and scenes rooted in American culture in the works of James Zamora, Neva Mikulicz, David Hilliard, Gao Hang. We hope that these works of art stimulate the viewer to reflect upon the complexity and significance of our American heritage and culture."
