14th Annual Rockport Film Festival

For more information on this event, go here. From the organizers: "The 14th Annual Rockport Film Festival returns November 12-15, with over 30 independent films, made as close as Corpus Christi and as far as New Zealand." WHEN IS THE ROCKPORT FILM FESTIVAL?
The Rockport Film Festival is always the second weekend in November, when Texas days are still warm but Texas nights are cool. It all kicks off with a Red Carpet Event the Thursday before the festival, and films screen all day Friday and Saturday. In 2020, the festival will be November 12-15.
HAS COVID-19 IMPACTED THE RFF?As the Festival weekend approaches, we are taking care to follow all safety guidelines and prioritize the health and welfare of filmmakers, volunteers, and guests. Changes will need to be made due to COVID-19 will be announced on this page and on our social media. Our hope is that we can host in-person events, although they might look a bit different.
WHERE DO FILM SCREENINGS TAKE PLACE?The Thursday night Red Carpet Event and screening is held outside, under the Autumn moon. The 2020 location is TBA. The screenings on Friday, Saturday, & Sunday will be at Movies, Inc.
WHAT KIND OF FILMS SCREEN AT THE ROCKPORT FILM FESTIVAL?We have six categories of films: 1. Documentary Feature 2. Fiction Feature 3. Documentary Short 4. Fiction Short 5. Animated Short 6. Student Film Five of the films will be full-length features. There will be four short film blocks, around 90 minutes long and consisting of six to eight short films.
We showcase films from across the globe! Although it varies every year, in 2017, 30% of our films are international, 30% were from Texas, and the rest came from across the country."
