"The 12th Annual Houston Cinema Arts Festival takes place from November 12th through 22nd virtually and at drive-ins across Houston. The Festival will feature over 20 films, Q&A’s, performances, and workshops.
This year’s theme, Urbana, plays off the globally popular Spanish-language music genre música urbana, and the Festival will include tributes to Selena and DJ Screw on the 25th and 20th anniversaries of their untimely passing. In addition, the Festival will feature the annual CineSpace short film competition with NASA, the new Borders | No Borders regional short film competition, and a new imagining of our festival’s guiding programming conceit: “local meets global.”
