From Project Row Houses: "Join us as we (re)visit the canon of Octavia E. Butler. In this space you are welcome to share memories, read passages, recite poems, or simply sitting in silence in honor of the memory of Octavia E. Butler. As a working writer, she wrote twelve novels and one collection of short stories (another was published posthumously), and she was awarded a MacArthur Genius Grant (1995). As an ancestor, Octavia Estelle Butler is a prescient guide who still insists that we wrestle with questions about what it means to truly be (together). This month we will be discussing Clay’s Ark. This conversation will be led by Guest Facilitator Jaison Oliver. To access this event, RSVP by emailing sgarrett@projectrowhouses.org."
