Shartle Lecture Series: Trenton Doyle Hancock in conversation with Alison de Lima Greene, curator of modern and contemporary art. The 2021 edition of the series explores the question “What is contemporary art?” with artists whose work is on view in the Nancy and Rich Kinder Building. Admission is free. He was an artist-in-residence with the Glassell School’s Core Program from 2000 to 2002, and he entered the national stage through consecutive Whitney Biennial exhibitions. Hancock’s art has been the subject of numerous solo exhibitions at museums in the United States and Europe. He continues to live and work in Houston. Save the Dates The Ruth K.
